Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support & Patient Care
– Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations and interventional pain procedures.
-Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, allergies, medications, and pain assessments.
-Assist providers with minor procedures, imaging guidance prep, injections, and post-procedure care.
-Prepare exam and procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment, instruments, and supplies are set up and sterilized.
-Perform CLIA-waived tests, urine drug screens, and specimen handling per clinic policy.
-Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, pre/post-procedure instructions, and follow-up care.
Workflow & Operational Support
-Maintain patient flow by coordinating with front office, clinical teams, and providers to minimize wait times.
-Document all patient interactions in the EMR (e.g., eClinicalWorks) accurately and in real time.
-Ensure referrals, imaging reports, and medical records are uploaded and available for appointments.
– Respond to clinical messages, patient calls, and provider requests in a timely manner.
-Monitor medication inventory, request replenishments, and assist with medication logs per DEA/clinic policy.
Qualifications
-Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
-Certification (CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA)
-Strong patient-communication skills and ability to support individuals with chronic pain.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
